Office for International Students at UWC (ISSO)

International students at different stages of their education at UWC are supported by the ISSO through dedicated student administration.
While you work to complete your tertiary education, UWC is honored to be viewed as your development partner. All of our teaching programs have the privilege of accepting students from various nations.
International students include everyone without a South African citizen identity certificate whose nationality is foreign (outside of Africa), from the SADAC countries (within Africa), a refugee, or someone with a Section 24 asylum permit. International students will need specialized help because they have unique requirements for their academic pursuits in South Africa.

The UWC ISSO is in line with institutional goals that seek to:

It provides an opportunity for international students to pursue their educational goals in the diverse and inclusive academic community of the renowned city of Cape Town.

Application procedure for international students:

To make sure you meet the requirements for your preferred academic program, please visit the ADMISSION section in Step 1.
Step 2: Kindly visit the EVALUATION section to request an exemption from Universities South Africa (USAf) or a South African Qualifications Authority evaluation of your international credentials (SAQA).
STEP 3: To submit an online application to UWC, kindly go to the APPLICATIONS section below.
STEP 4: Please review the data provided for the application or renewal of a visa in the IMMIGRATION section below.
Step 5: Kindly proceed with the pre-registration clearance procedure and register by visiting the REGISTRATION section below.
Step 6: Please proceed to the section below titled “ARRIVAL” and get ready to relocate to Cape Town.
Step 7: Please leave feedback in the section below to help us make the experience better.
