• Go to the UJ website at www.uj.ac.za and select the “Online Application” tab to submit your application online.
• Fill out your personal information to create an account, including your name, surname, ID or passport number, and contact information.
• Fill out the online application form for the program you want to apply for. Be sure to be truthful and accurate in everything you say.
• Transfer every one of the expected archives, including your ID or visa, scholastic records, and verification of installment for the application charge. Check that your documents are easy to read and understand.
• Online submit your application. When your application has been submitted, you will get an affirmation email with your application reference number.
• Pay the fee for the application. South African applicants must pay R200 for their application, while international applicants must pay R470. Either an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or an online credit card payment can be made.
• Regularly check the status of your application. Using your ID or passport number and the reference number for your application, you can access the UJ website to see where your application stands.
• Hold out for a reply. The number of applications received and the program for which you have applied can influence the response time for UJ applications. Be patient and browse your email consistently for any updates or demands for additional data.
• An email acceptance letter will be sent to you in the event that your application is accepted. To register for your program, follow the instructions in the acceptance letter.
• You will receive an email notification in the event that your application is rejected. Depending on the reason for the rejection, you may be able to appeal the decision.
